Assistant Professor - Inorganic Chemistry (Finance)
The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida (USF) seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a research focus in Inorganic Chemistry and teaching commensurate with the position.
The position is expected to start August 7, 2026 on the Tampa campus, with a competitive salary and start-up package. The ideal candidate will establish a strong, externally funded research program and must contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or a closely related field with a promising record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated education research experience beyond the PhD. Preference will also be given to applicants who have expertise or experience in teaching upper-level undergraduate chemistry courses including Inorganic Chemistry or Materials Science.
