As a Structural Bridge Engineer and vital member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridges and other transportation structures. You will serve in a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation (highway and rail) projects on local and national projects. Responsibilities

Perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment, contributing to the planning, analysis, and design process. Qualifications
BS in civil/structural engineering (MS/MCE Preferred) Minimum of 5 years' of demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, including design, analysis, and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in MD, or able to obtain in 3 months Experience with MDOT SHA, MDTA, and MTA, including familiarity with SHA Guidelines and Procedures Memoranda, Structural Details, ProjectWise, and MDTA’s ASIR Ability to produce design computations, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports Demonstrated experience on various bridge types, including prestressed concrete and steel superstructures, and substructure design Proficiency in CAD systems, specifically MicroStation, including experience with SHA CAD Workspace and ProjectWise Proficiency with structural modeling software, including CSIBridge, STAAD, LARS, or other structural design/analyses programs Proficiency with structural design software, including Leap Bridge Steel and/or Concrete, OpenBridge Designer, or other structural design programs Solid understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the AREMA code to transportation structures Proficiency in performing QA/QC using Bluebeam, PDF-Xchange Editor, and/or Adobe Acrobat Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative group environment in person and remotely through Microsoft Teams Ideally, you’ll also have:
Completion of NHI Course No. 130056 – Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Demonstrated experience on highway, rail, and transit structures Active involvement in local engineering societies Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $73,500.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
