Full time, 5 8's, to include at least one weekend day, 40 hours per week Assignment Duration:
13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending Hourly Rate:
This position offers an hourly rate between $47.00 to $52.00, which equates to $1,880 to $2,080 per week (based on a 40-hour workweek). Benefits:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for evaluating communication and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and ensuring compliance with professional, hospital, and regulatory standards. The SLP works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. Essential Functions
Conducts comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations for acute care patients. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans tailored to patient-specific needs and goals. Provides therapeutic interventions, including strategies for communication, speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Monitors patient progress, adjusts therapy plans as appropriate, and communicates effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams. Ensures compliance with Hawaii state licensure requirements, professional practice standards, and organizational policies. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in accordance with hospital standards. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and departmental activities to support service excellence and professional growth. Provides patient and family education regarding communication strategies, swallowing safety, and long-term management plans. Qualifications
Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Hawaii required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech, language, and swallowing therapy. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.
