Overview
Job Title: VMWare Administrator
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Eligibility: Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
Responsibilities
Senior level system administrator/engineer with deep knowledge and experience with VMware. Role will perform system architect/design duties for revamping current system design to fit new needs and developing a new and improved design as we migrate to HWaaS.
Experience with migrating from VMware 7.x to VMware 8.x and knowledge is strongly desired.
Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
Drive consistency for deployment and build processes
Focus on understanding customers\' needs and translating those into functional, production-ready code and infrastructure
Required Skills
Deep knowledge and experience with VMware vCenter, Cisco switches, VPNs, VLANs, Server Deployment
Experience with enclaves and firewalls (e.g., NSX, Cisco ASA)
Experience related to network engineering design, system fit-up, and system deployment
General Windows and some Linux system administration and sustainment experience, to include patching
Knowledge working with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Power Distribution Units
Familiarity with customer Security (i.e., STE/STN) requirements
Desirable
Experience with VMWare NSX
Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware as a Service (HWaaS) is desired
