Job Overview
This position is responsible for the support and administration of Company employee benefit programs (such as Pension, 401(k), Group Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Life, Vision Care, Long-Term Disability, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Care Plans and Employee Assistance Program). In addition, the role requires developing a working knowledge of the Company's benefit package, the related governance, integrations with information systems, payroll, compensation, workers compensation, human resources business partners, shared services functions, and leave and accommodation. Charlotte Duties & Responsibilities
Supports benefit plan administration including benefits eligibility, amounts and duration, leave and disability compliance and reporting, benefits administrative reporting, validation, exception management, activities for newly eligible employees, ongoing participation and routine enrollment transactions, and retirement/termination process. Provides subject matter expert operational and administrative guidance to teammates regarding their benefits, resolving errors and exceptions while discerning routine questions from more complex matters to enhance teammate appreciation and value of their company benefits. Coordinates with vendors who conduct plan administration including insurance companies, benefit and claims administrators, record keepers and consultants to ensure that vendor data is provided for plan administration and timely funding of plan contributions and insurance premiums. Assists with the annual open enrollment process, communicates and distributes materials, provides updated information for enrollment decisions, and completes audit reports to ensure eligible employees receive enrollment information and that benefits data is accurate within the administration system. Administers absence management programs and related processes including FMLA, paid leave, short- and long-term disability, accommodations and ADA compliance. Performs additional duties as assigned. Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines Ability to escalate issues as needed; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Excellent communication skills, teamwork and collaboration Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience Preferred Qualifications
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar benefits-related professional certification is desired Work Environment
Office environment In office 4 days a week in South Park. 1 day remote flexibility #LI-AF1 Residency Requirement
