We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Payroll Specialist
to join our team! This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Process assigned weekly payrolls accurately and on schedule. Enter employee time data using various methods, including import files, spreadsheets, and manual entry. Review and balance payroll files and audit reports. Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly. Maintain payroll operations by following policies, procedures, and reporting any necessary changes. Collaborate with payroll, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and accurate employee data maintenance. Ensure correct deductions for payroll taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other items. Assist with the preparation of Certified Payrolls. Uphold compliance with payroll data governance, timekeeping, record-keeping, and internal controls. Support internal and external auditors by providing payroll documents and reports as needed. Perform additional payroll-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. CPP or FPC certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing (construction industry experience is a plus). Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Intermediate Excel required). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Experience with ADP or Ceridian is preferred but not required.
