Position Overview

Assess participant needs, develop skills, provide mentorship, and track progress to achieve individual and organizational goals.

Recruit and enroll new participants and prepare them for workforce entry.

Collaborate with the JOG team to identify best practices, remove barriers, provide tutoring and upskilling, and locate employment opportunities.

Facilitate training bootcamps multiple times per year.

Engage with employers to place participants in jobs and follow up on their progress.

Use participant data to find trends, measure effectiveness, and improve the program.

Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and other partners to support participants.

Ensure all activities follow regulations and policies. Prepare and submit reports to designated leadership personnel.

Job Functions

Establish meaningful relationships with participants that build a foundation of trust, motivation, and accountability.

Develop a roster of program participants, incorporating recruited individuals and participant referrals from designated eligibility categories.

Screen and assess program participants through motivational interviewing, orientations, and interpretation of assessment tools.

Maintain weekly contact with active participants and monthly contact with those in follow-up.

Provide necessary services and JOG’s competency-based curriculum to enrolled individuals based on needs, leading to the accomplishment of participant and organizational goals.

Coordinate ancillary youth services/activities to further develop and progress young adults towards self-sufficiency and being their best selves. Activities may include guest speakers, specialty workshops, site tours, job fairs, community service projects, etc.

Strategize, contact, and re-engage disconnected program participants.

Participate in work experience programs by assisting with employer and participant recruitment, orientations, and worksite supervision.

Engage with employers to secure job placements for participants and coordinate work experiences. Ensure ongoing communication with employers to monitor participant progress and address any issues.

Track, monitor, and report youth contact, services, progress, and attainments.

Enter daily model services, monthly follow-up contact, and job and education attainment into JAG Force.

Verify and follow-up on participant progress by monitoring activities with employers and educational institutions.

Submit monthly documentation to designated staff, including model services/case notes, mileage, timesheets (twice per month), EOM, youth attainments, etc.

Submit quarterly documentation, inclusive of exits, post-testing/skill goal attainment, and quarterly follow-ups.

Maintain confidentiality regarding all issues relative to client files and the organization’s operations.

Facilitate and instruct: Deliver dynamic training sessions using diverse instructional methods to engage participants and enhance learning. Incorporate lectures, group discussions, hands-on activities, and role-playing exercises.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and outcomes. Prepare reports on activities and effectiveness, gathering data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Available for work hours scheduled typically M-F 8:00 – 4:30pm

Local, daytime travel required within a two-county radius. Occasional travel between other organizational service areas.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online database systems.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of three years of experience in talent development, workforce development, or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of program coordination, participant support, and industry-specific needs.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.

Self-motivated, outgoing, and strong networking abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.

Excellent organizational and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
