Ironwood Power Services is a provider of services to the utility industry. Our areas of expertise include civil construction for substations and similar installations, utility line vegetation management, and access road and environmental solutions supporting the energy sector in the Northeastern United States. We employ over 400 team members in multiple states. Human Resource Generalist Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for critical administrative duties, including tasks associated with onboarding, recruiting, offboarding, and HRIS entry. The pay range for this position is $22 to $25/hr based on experience. Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, and training and development. Maintains accurate employee records through data entry and management of HR databases. Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Assists with the assembly and maintenance of Driver Qualification Files, including notifying drivers of expiring documentation/qualifications and scheduling DOT drug screens and physicals, performing MVR initial/annual reviews and pre-employment/annual FMCSA Clearinghouse Queries. Supports the DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol program by scheduling pre-employment, random and post-accident testing as required as well as maintaining DOT Drug & Alcohol testing rosters. Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:

Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred. Strong Learning Mindset: Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, with proven ability to embrace feedback and continuous improvement. Involves frequent contact with personnel inside the organization requiring reasonable tact, discretion and professionalism. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience:

1+ years of experience in Human Resources or DOT Compliance. Experience working with Labor Unions strongly desired Experience working in utility vegetation management and/or civil works preferred. Physical Requirements:
