Job Summary The Construction Manager is performing duties as an owner's representative primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing on-site construction activities for gas compressor station projects. This role ensures EPC contract compliance, safe execution, schedule adherence, quality control, and coordination amongst key stakeholders, contractors, field personnel, engineering teams and operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Construction Manager is responsible for the overall execution of a large-scale, "engineer, procure, and construct" (EPC) project on behalf of the owner. This includes overseeing all construction, commissioning start-up activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations per the EPC contract. Lead and manage two small site teams overseeing EPC construction activities on behalf of the owner across two active compressor station projects. Key Responsibilities: Enforce safety standards, conduct site audits, and ensure compliance with client and EPC contract requirements. Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, and vendors. Review and approve daily field reports. Identifies and proactively addresses potential issues such as delays, change orders, or quality problems. Facilitate and coordinate the MOC process with Key stakeholders Make recommendations on progress, milestone payments and change orders Monitor schedules, manpower, material deliveries, and equipment utilization. Coordinate with client project management team, engineering, procurement, project controls, commissioning and start-up teams. Ensure construction aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Review and process RFIs, field changes, NCRs, and redlines. Support resolution of constructability issues and provide feedback to engineering teams. Oversee site logistics, laydown, staging areas, and traffic plans. Conduct daily/weekly site meetings, reporting progress, risks, and mitigation plans. Track work progress and verify quantities for invoicing and forecasting. Support QA/QC inspection, testing, and turnover documentation. Interface with client representatives, regulators, and third-party stakeholders as required. Ensure environmental and permit compliance at all times. Coordinate commissioning, testing, start-up and handover to operations Project close-out documentations Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of applicable API, ASME, NFPA, and client construction standards. Knowledge of compressor stations and natural gas facilities Experience with union and non-union labor environments. Familiarity with cost tracking, progress reporting, and construction scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Strong leadership and field coordination. Excellent communication with owners, contractors, inspectors, and internal teams. Ability to manage simultaneous scopes across multiple active sites. Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making under pressure. Highly organized with real-time documentation habits. Ability on maximizing the return on the owner's investment by controlling costs and maintaining quality. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent experience preferred. Extensive experience 10 years in construction, with a proven track record of managing large-scale industrial projects. Regulated gas utility industry experience preferred. Prior experience with the EPC execution model is required. Experience in the oil and gas or midstream industry, especially with compressor stations, pipelines, and high-pressure facilities. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and relevant industry standards. Familiarity with software, such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project. The ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and schematics. Working Conditions This position will be based on-site with travel to other project jobsites. Work schedule will be based on final construction work schedule and determined by the client. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move about the inside and outside of the location to access and observe construction activities office equipment, etc. The person in this position may frequently travel, attend meetings and communicate with key stakeholder, EPC Contractor and employees and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a computer, copy machine, etc. required to effectively perform required job functions.
