The Quality Control Supervisor supervises and leads a team of Quality Control (QC) Leads and Technicians responsible for the inspection of incoming raw materials through finished goods release. In collaboration with Quality leadership, the QC Supervisor supports the development, enhancement and coordination of QC systems designed to ensure the continuous production of high-quality products that are consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals. Estimated starting annual base salary is $81,529.91-$122,294.87, paid bi-weekly, less applicable withholdings and deductions. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation is in the low to middle of the range; top of the range reserved for exceptional circumstances. This role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high standards of quality and technical integrity. Oversee and ensure consistent QC documentation, testing, reporting, and other activities in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Develop, maintain, and report quality metrics to Quality management. Lead internal continuous improvement teams to stabilize and improve quality processes using statistical process control (SPC). Collaborate with Quality team and other interdepartmental teams to investigate deviations, customer complaints, and audit findings. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Regulatory, and other interdepartmental teams as needed. Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams as needed. Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), QC work instructions, and job aids as needed. Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs in partnership with management. Support internal and external audits as directed. People leader responsibilities

The position carries out people leader responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: Provide task direction to team members. Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for new hires (onboarding). Motivate team to improve productivity. Create and monitor team schedules. Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned areas. Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve/report any issues or conflicts. Conduct performance reviews and manage individual performance. Ensure safety and quality standards are enforced and met. Required qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. 6 years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in the food or dietary supplement industry. 2 years’ demonstrated leadership or professional supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Proficiency with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPAs). Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong communication, leadership, process development, training, organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume) and apply basic algebra/geometry concepts. Effective verbal and written communication with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak before groups. Practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Preferred qualifications

Degree in food science, food technology, nutrition, or related field. Experience in an FDA-regulated environment. Experience with NSF audits and standards. Experience with ERP, SPC systems, and/or familiarity with SPC tools. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Physical requirements

Regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. May frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
