The Site Security Leader will ensure the safety and security of the entire Crossroads Community, demanding diplomacy, situational awareness, and the ability to assess and respond to various environments. This role requires a blend of empathy and a strong commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Job Summary
The Site Security Leader will oversee security for all church activities, implement security protocols, and respond to emergencies. The role involves leading and managing security operations, patrolling church property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and providing first aid as needed. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the site's security operations. Patrol and monitor church property to ensure a safe environment. Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents and disturbances. Provide training for volunteers and staff, and maintain discretion and confidentiality. Plan and oversee security for site events, ensuring safety for all attendees. Maintain and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access controls. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Requirements
Law enforcement, military, or civilian training certifications are preferred but not required. Exceptional conflict resolution skills, including de-escalation practices and use-of-force spectrum knowledge. Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred. Current or obtainable Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit for the state of Ohio or applicable state with reciprocity. Able to pass quarterly firearms and physical fitness qualification standards. Strong observational skills, ability to act quickly in stressful situations, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements
Standing and being alert for extended periods, with operations conducted in plain clothes with a concealable firearm. Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor patrols. Potential involvement in less-than-lethal or lethal use of force. Scheduling and Travel Requirements
This position supports building weekly and special building activities, requiring evening, weekend, and holiday work. Travel throughout Ohio and Kentucky to visit Crossroads sites, with occasional travel beyond for events, training, and meetings.
