The Building Operations Team Member is responsible for maintaining Crossroads' sites, handling building and equipment emergencies, and delivering a well-maintained facility for use by Crossroads and outside parties. Principal Duties And Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair activities for building and equipment. Perform skilled preventive maintenance in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Conduct regular building inspections and prepare necessary work order requests. Respond to inquiries and requests by building tenants and resolve problems timely. Monitor building schedules and provide support for non-staff tenants hosting events. Guide cleaning contractors and ensure their services meet Crossroads' cleaning standards. Recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams. Manage and maintain event support properties (e.g., folding chairs, tables). Protect Crossroads' value by keeping information confidential. Work closely with staff to build a strong team environment and complete work necessary to serve and support the vision and mission. Attend regular ministry team meetings, all-staff meetings, and participate in additional meetings as requested. Perform other duties as requested by manager and leadership. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience/Skills Requirements: General residential/commercial maintenance knowledge is essential. At least 3 years of experience performing general maintenance or in a similar role is preferred. Excellent project management skills are required. Able to work with minimal supervision while understanding the necessity for communication and coordinating work efforts with other staff and organizations. Possesses strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead volunteers and volunteer teams in project execution is essential. Physical Requirements: The job requires some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 30% walking, and 50% standing. Travel between properties will be required.
