$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr A top-rated, medium-sized law firm is looking for a Civil Lit Associate Attorney to join their growing law practice in OC. A Bit About Us We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 2-4 year Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, ideally with employment law experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law with a focus on worker's compensation cases. The candidate should be well-versed in using Westlaw for legal research and should be an active member of the California State Bar. Why join us? Job Details Responsibilities Represent clients in all aspects of employment law cases, including worker's compensation, wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment. Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and other resources to prepare for trials and mediations. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses. Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations. Attend MCLE courses to maintain legal competence and fulfill continuing education requirements. Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to strategize and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the California State Bar. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a civil litigator, ideally with Employment law experience or interest to learn. Proficiency in using Westlaw for legal research. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements. Exceptional drafting skills, with experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload. Commitment to adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards.
