We’re partnering with a mission-driven climate-tech startup that’s building software to accelerate America’s clean-energy transition. Profitable and growing, the team is laser-focused on one goal: decarbonizing the U.S. power grid—quickly and at scale. Your Impact (Responsibilities)
As a Software Engineer, you’ll craft the data products and core infrastructure that unlock new renewable-energy projects. Working hand-in-hand with fellow engineers and transmission-planning experts, you will: Design, build, and deploy Python-based data pipelines that turn raw grid data into actionable insights Own backend services that power mission-critical workflows—and jump into the frontend when it helps the team ship faster Launch high-impact features, expand the platform into new regional markets, and help spin up entirely new product lines Collaborate in lean, cross-functional squads—typically a product manager, a software engineer, and a transmission engineer—where plans evolve quickly and ownership is shared About you (Qualifications)
4+ years of professional software-engineering experience Driven by climate impact and eager to accelerate the renewable-energy industry Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking initiative on large, loosely scoped projects Collaborative, pragmatic, and flexible—especially in a fast-moving startup environment Deep Python skills with hands-on experience building data pipelines (pandas, Dagster, etc.) Happy to work across the stack; pure frontend specialists probably won’t feel at home here Bonus points for GraphQL, React, or TypeScript experience Seniority level
