This is a technical role with functional responsibility to apply your network technology knowledge, skills, and expertise to support our corporate headquarters, data centers, and control centers network. You will get to work independently and/or with technical staff including employees and contractors to monitor, troubleshoot and support all facets of the communications infrastructure including LAN and WAN networking, Cisco Wireless network, departmental VLANs, encompassing 100 sites within NYC and Westchester. Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Responsibilities

This is a technical role with functional responsibility to apply your network technology knowledge, skills, and expertise to support our corporate headquarters, data centers, and control centers network. You will work independently and/or with technical staff to design, build, and transition to run new sites and locations in the Consolidated Edison and Orange and Rockland Utility Areas, covering Wireless, WAN, LAN, and Monitoring spaces. Apply hands-on IP network support and operation to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements in all aspects of the business. Apply knowledge of OSI model layers 1–3 and related network components to guide the Run Organization during escalation or Hypercare periods. Follow design scopes created by the Solutions Architect with attention to detail and curiosity when building by the design. Support and maintain network management and monitoring tools to streamline and automate processes and/or repetitive tasks. Assist as an SME in setting hardware and software standards by validating effectively. Author network documentation including network diagrams, policies, and procedures for management and monitoring of the data and voice networks. Assist in developing and tracking project and program budgets. Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required. Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree, and minimum of 2 years IT experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree, and minimum of 3 years IT experience OR Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree, and minimum of 5 years IT experience OR High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 7 years IT experience Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering and minimum of 3 years IT experience with CCNA and CCNP Relevant Work Experience

Strong understanding of architectural concepts and practices leading to reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible solutions. Understanding of cyber security principles. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-based routers, switches, Wireless APs, and data center NX-OS based switches. Working knowledge of BGP and IGP routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, 802.1q) in a Cisco environment. Ability to draw complex network diagrams for diverse audiences. Proven experience troubleshooting system issues and outages and conducting root cause analysis. Proficient with Cisco CLI for configuring, troubleshooting, and IOS upgrades. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in network monitoring, management, and packet analysis tools. Knowledge of network management and monitoring tools such as BMC TrueSight Network Automation, NetBrain, DHCP, InfoBlox, Cisco Smart Software Manager (preferred). Knowledge of PowerShell, Java, XML, Git, Azure DevOps (preferred). Practical experience using network automation tools and scripting (preferred). Skills and Abilities

System Emergency Assignment may require non-business hours during emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to travel within Company service territory as needed Must participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required Must wear PPE (hard hat, gloves, safety shoes) when required Seniority level
