Role: Senior Network Engineer Department: Network Services Location: Onsite (Preferred: Purchase, NY; Morristown, NJ; Garden City, NY; New York City, NY; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Lubbock, TX) – Locals only Client: Sompo International Visa: USC, GC (strong consultants considered) Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN network infrastructure across global environments. Provide Tier 3 operational support and advanced troubleshooting for network issues. Install, configure, and maintain network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS). Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and security configurations. Monitor and analyze network performance, availability, and capacity. Maintain comprehensive network documentation. Ensure compliance with change and configuration management policies. Implement and enforce network security tools, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with vendors and IT teams to resolve escalated issues. Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation for after‑hours support. Conduct technical training for internal IT resources. Handle administrative tasks such as time entry, reporting, and incident/change management participation. Technical Qualifications
5–8 years of hands‑on enterprise network engineering/support experience. CCNP certification (required). Expertise in routing/switching protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel). Strong security experience (Cisco ASA, Firepower, IPS, Cisco ISE, VPN, AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x). Experience with wireless (Cisco WLC preferred) and load balancing (Citrix NetScaler or similar). Knowledge of cloud/data center technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Cisco Nexus, ACI preferred). Familiarity with SD‑WAN (Silver Peak preferred) and cloud firewall services (Zscaler preferred). Proficiency with various network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, QoS). Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus devices, NX‑OS, IOS. Supporting enterprise applications (SAP, Citrix, portals). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. General Qualifications
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong collaboration and documentation abilities. Self‑motivated, proactive, and quick to resolve issues. Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies. Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Education & Certifications
