Overview
Sr. Enterprise Account Engineer, National Security – AWS Would you like to join one of the fastest-growing organizations within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and help customers of all industries and sizes gain the best value and service from AWS? This role supports customers’ innovative efforts across Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning, Big Data, Security, Networking, Serverless and more. This is not a sales role, but an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Responsibilities
Help craft and execute strategies to drive customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, CodePipeline, IoT, and more. Represent AWS within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support and risk management. Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to plan and build solutions using best practices. Proactively keep customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. Develop close relationships to understand business/operational needs and technical challenges to maximize value from AWS. Travel 10% or more as needed. Serve as the centerpiece of value to National Security customers. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical engineering experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for Compute/Storage/Networking/CDN/Databases/AI-ML/DevOps/Big Data and Analytics/Security/Applications Development in a distributed systems environment Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, or 5 years of equivalent work experience Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of technical engineering experience in multiple areas (three or more of Compute/Storage/Networking/CDN/Databases/DevOps/Big Data and Analytics/Security/Applications Development) Experience in Information Technology operations Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting to decision makers Experience in 24x7 operational services or support environment Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings; Federal/DoD Clearances Additional information: This position requires that the candidate be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
