We are currently seeking Locum MDs (Medical Doctors) and DOs (Osteopathic Doctors) specializing in Emergency Medicine. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in need of urgent medical attention. As a Locum MD or DO, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse cases, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and make a significant impact on the community's health. Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide high-quality care to patients. Perform medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute conditions. Stabilize patients in critical condition and initiate necessary interventions. Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately. Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards in all interactions. Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency medicine. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members to provide comprehensive care and support. Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Valid license to practice as an MD or DO in the state of Round Rock. Certification in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty. Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Schedule: 10a-8p, 8p-6a Patient Census: 5-6 per hour EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & lodging
