Overview

The Office Assistant provides essential administrative and program support to the Student Engagement professional staff. This position assists with programs and events throughout the year; coordinates travel for students and staff and contributes to effective communication and marketing for the division. The Office Assistant plays a key role in connecting students, parents, and families to campus life through organized communication, publication management, and event coordination. Responsibilities

Provide office support to assist professional staff with programs, events, and initiatives throughout the year. Coordinate travel arrangements for students and staff, ensuring compliance with university policies. Assist with publications, documents, flyers, and marketing materials using strong proofing and writing skills. Gather and organize information for the

weekly Student Bulletin

and ensure timely distribution. Create and manage content for

digital communication boards . Produce and distribute

parent and family communications , including a bi-weekly newsletter. Develop timely, relevant, and engaging content that empowers families to support student success and remain connected to the University. Maintain and update the database of

student organizations

and group constitutions. Support student organization management through Loper Links software: Create forms, post events, and manage calendar items. Assist

Student Government

and

LPAC

with elections and homecoming royalty voting through

Qualtrics

and Loper Links systems. Maintain the

Outlook programming calendar

for the Student Union and Student Engagement Office. Track participation and attendance for engagement events. Perform additional duties as assigned to advance the goals of the Student Engagement team. Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience in an office setting or two (2) years of post-high school education. Excellent, friendly oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related software tools such as Adobe PDF and Photoshop. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, effective communication materials. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in an educational or higher education environment
