Job Summary
This position is a Mobile Applications Developer supporting the Arizona WIC Program’s current mobile applications, EzWIC and UPC. The Mobile Applications Developer is essential for creating and maintaining front end code used for Android and iOS phones and code on the back end servers. The mobile developer will review business requirements and create technical solutions and documentations for new features and to modify existing features.
Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines. This includes coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documentation.
Create deliverables according to the Software Development Life Cycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation.
Translate requirements into business, functional and use case documents for large, complex projects. Responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, elicitation and re-engineering. Document functional design documents around various modules.
Support production systems; analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests as assigned. Perform root cause analysis and remediation in one or more applications or systems. Translate business requirements into system specifications. Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
Engage with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contribute to the completion of functional specifications. Review changes within subject areas; stay informed of technology trends and functionality changes targeted to improve/enhance performance.
Perform other duties as assigned related to the position (typically 5% - 10%).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Thorough working knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems, development platforms, and systems integration.
Thorough working knowledge of developing and writing technical documentation.
Thorough working knowledge of evaluating information from multiple sources and deriving functional requirements.
Thorough working knowledge of directing multiple/concurrent IT solution implementations.
Experience in analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of multi-tier applications.
Demonstrated experience in .NET web application development.
Experience using relational databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server) and developing enterprise PLSQL and/or T-SQL stored procedures.
Knowledge of OOP concepts and design skills in ASP.NET.
Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio 2022, Visual Studio for Mac, SSIS, SSRS, IIS, jQuery, Model-View-Controller (MVC).
Knowledge of performance management models and continuous quality improvement methods in a public setting.
Knowledge of Push Notification tools including Azure, Firebase and Apple Push Notifications.
Experience with .NET MAUI and with plugins like Xcode, Scandit, and Google Cloud Platform software.
Experience with app distribution tools including TestFlight, Transporter and Firebase.
Experience with C# code and N-tier applications; experience creating mobile applications for iOS and Android; experience creating web APIs and RESTful services; experience debugging and testing with Postman; experience working with third-party APIs.
Strong customer service, organizational, coordination, problem determination, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn and develop in new programming languages, APIs, and platforms; evaluate and test emerging technologies; balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks; work collaboratively in teams and across organizations; synthesize feedback and adjust plans; build strong relationships; apply creative solutions to meet business needs.
