Associate Attorney licensed in Missouri and residing in the Kansas City, MO metro area.
What You'll Do:
Court Appearances:
Prepare for and appear in court within travel distance. Reliable timely appearance is essential, with some overnight travel required.
Court Coverage Placements:
Review and request coverage for court calls where you will not appear, including submitting necessary documents and orders.
Mid Litigation Motions and Responses:
Draft, review, and file motions as needed during litigation.
Trials and Arbitrations:
Prepare for trials/arbitrations, potentially involving overnight stays in distant counties.
Communications:
Interact with consumers, their employers, and attorneys to resolve accounts and suits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed in Missouri; additional licenses in other states (IA, OR, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, AK, HI, NV) are a plus.
Comfortable appearing in court and punctual, using your own transportation.
Willing to travel; travel expenses reimbursed per IRS mileage rates and firm policy.
Strong multitasking, verbal, and written communication skills for high-volume caseloads.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
