About the Role Our client, a well-established organization in Washington, DC, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in full-cycle AP, strong familiarity with Workday Financials, and working knowledge of prepaid expenses and sales and use taxes. Responsibilities

Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering invoices into Workday Financials

Verify vendor information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments via ACH, wire, or check runs

Assist with the management of prepaid expenses, including proper recording and amortization

Prepare and reconcile sales and use tax reports as needed

Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations

Maintain accurate vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies

Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and reporting requests

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with Workday Financials (required)

Knowledge of prepaid expenses and sales and use tax processes

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with general ledger accounting

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
