We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our tug, barge, and shipyard operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable performance of our marine services division. The ideal candidate will bring deep maritime industry knowledge, a strong command of operational planning, and a hands-on leadership style that drives results.

Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations across tug and barge fleets and shipyard facilities , ensuring vessels and projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Oversee fleet maintenance and scheduling , minimizing downtime and maximizing asset utilization. Direct shipyard functions , including repairs, maintenance, and vessel construction projects. Manage operating budgets and financial performance, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for revenue growth. Hire, train, and lead cross-functional teams , including vessel crews and shipyard staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Ensure strict compliance with maritime regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. Build strong client relationships, manage contracts, and support new business development. Report regularly to executive leadership on performance metrics, operational updates, and strategic initiatives. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of experience in the maritime industry , with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role. Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience managing tug and barge operations , vessel maintenance, and shipyard projects. Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Effective leadership and team development skills, with the ability to manage diverse crews and technical staff. Deep understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and operational best practices. Proficient in operational planning tools and marine management systems. This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape a growing division, mentor teams, and directly influence performance and profitability.
