Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and skid steers.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and parts usage documentation.
- Operate diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals to support repair work.
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times.
- Technical certification in diesel/heavy equipment repair preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or diesel technician required.
- Proficiency in hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with multiple OEMs and diagnostic platforms a plus.
- Must provide your own tools (specialty tools provided).
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills and technical troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Capable of working independently and within a team environment.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor/industrial settings.
