Overview
Stewardship & Philanthropy Associate at International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Base pay range : $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Responsibilities
We are seeking an individual to identify new planned gift prospects through phone, email, or letter outreach. The associate handles inquiries, assesses giving potential, and coordinates with planned giving advisors for direct follow up. Maintain contact with current donors to recognize their support and collaborate on future gifts. Identify and cultivate opportunities for donors to consider increasing the value of their planned gifts. Generate prospects and respond to inquiries; assess planned gift likelihood based on prospect affinity and attributes; screen donors for wealth and likelihood of planned gifts; refer leads to designated planned giving field representatives. Process incoming third-party QCD gifts, ensuring gifts are properly credited to related donors; engage with third-party administrators as necessary. Prepare acknowledgment letters and thank donors through various means (telephone, cards, notes, etc.). Assess whether donors warrant referral to other Philanthropy representatives and coordinate transitions accordingly. Update donor database with concise contact notes and determine follow-up actions required. Ensure senior leadership and field representatives are equipped with necessary materials for internal and external meetings; execute special projects as needed. Develop, create, and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in operations. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or nonprofit management preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nonprofit fundraising or customer relations environment with a strong emphasis on donor relations via telephone and written communications. Experience in research, donor cultivation, and solicitation for planned or major gifts is preferred. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), donor databases, and gift planning proposal software; strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and maintain strong attention to detail. Comfortable interacting with individuals from varying religious traditions; knowledge of Jewish and Christian faiths is a plus. Travel required as needed. Company information
