Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

About the Opportunity Our client, a

well-established, boutique HNW/Fiduciary Tax firm

is seeking an experienced

Trust Tax Manager

to join a collaborative and client-focused team.

In this role, you’ll manage trust and estate engagements for high-net-worth clients, oversee the preparation and review of fiduciary tax returns (Form 1041), and provide strategic tax planning support.

This position offers the chance to work closely with partners, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships in a supportive and flexible work environment.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and review complex fiduciary income tax returns (1041s), estate returns, and foundation filings.

Collaborate with estate and gift tax specialists on planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Interpret and apply trust and estate planning documents (e.g., wills, trusts) to client engagements.

Recommend tax-efficient strategies to minimize client liabilities and support long-term planning.

Train, mentor, and guide associates and seniors on trust taxation and client service best practices.

Act as a key point of contact for client communication and issue resolution.

Stay current with changes in fiduciary tax law and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).

CPA, JD, or LLM in Taxation strongly preferred.

5+ years of fiduciary tax experience

(public accounting or professional services environment) preferred.

Strong knowledge of trust, estate, and fiduciary tax compliance (1041s).

Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Proficiency with tax software (GoRS or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
