Lead Engineering Liaison Specialist position requires an individual to be detail oriented and mechanically inclined with a good work ethics. The individual is going to be responsible for setting up and supporting engineering tests as well as assist with packing evacuation systems and other model shop tasks as instructed by the supervisor. The individual must be able to carry on the delegation duties to lead model shop technical personnel as needed. Responsibilities

Rig, pack, and deploy evacuation systems. Set up mock ups, wind machines and various engineering equipment in correct locations for testing with the use of all material handling equipment. Directs and supervises engineering technician activities in absence of Engineering Test Services Manager and/or Model Shop Supervisor. Read and comprehend test drawings, sketches, test plans. Rebuild and overall inflation valves, perform regulation adjustments; repair evacuation system hardware such as packboards, lacing covers, etc. Keep test center organized in accordance with 5S standards including TPMS; inspect test center equipment and fill up checklists on daily basis including chemical cabinets. Assist and train model shop crew to rig, pack, and deploy evacuation systems; support training customers or fellow technicians on new programs being introduced into production. Prepare aircraft doors for deployments (charging/pre-deployment setup); install evacuation systems on mockups and support deployments. Operate tele-handler (type VII rough terrain), forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack. Read and work from posted schedule, adjust and prioritize schedule as needed. Work independently or in a team setting as required; prepare rate test setups and participate in jump testing events. Support trips to local vendor facilities and assist with certification efforts at customer locations. Maintain organization and tool control; adhere to safe work practices and contribute to health, safety, and environmental program. Must have excellent attendance per company’s attendance policy; other duties may be assigned in accordance with technical level and expertise. Qualifications

Detail oriented and mechanically inclined with good work ethic. Ability to read and comprehend test drawings, sketches, and test plans. Experience with setting up and supporting engineering tests; ability to read schedules and prioritize tasks. Experience in rigging, packing, and deploying evacuation systems is preferred. Ability to operate material handling equipment and common shop tools; capability to work independently or in a team. Commitment to 5S standards and safety practices.
