Assistant Professor of Clinical, Inpatient, College of Medicine - Family Medicine Residency Program
Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Family Medicine Department seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical and precepting services at The Christ Hospital and ambulatory primary/psychiatric care at a Cincinnati Health Department site.
Teaching Responsibilities
Supervise and teach residents and medical students in hospital and outpatient clinic settings.
Provide learner feedback through online evaluation forms.
Lead weekly small‑group sessions on outpatient topics of population health, quality improvement, and team‑based care.
Participate in faculty development seminars and workshops.
Clinical Care
Provide direct patient care at The Christ Hospital (adult inpatient care, newborn rounds).
Share on‑call responsibilities evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Provide primary and psychiatric care at Cincinnati Health Department site, managing patient population and meeting quality of care standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve on health system committees.
Attend monthly inpatient practice meetings.
Scholarship
Contribute to curriculum development, research, regional and national presentations, publications, and peer review.
Minimum Requirements
Medical Degree (MD or DO).
Unrestricted Ohio Medical License and DEA license.
Completion of a five‑year Family Medicine and Psychiatry residency program.
Board Certification with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Board Certification in Psychiatry.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Experience in outpatient family medicine teaching and supervision of learners.
Skills in bridging clinical supervision and teaching, including developing teacher‑learner relationships.
Demonstrated commitment to vulnerable populations.
Prior teaching experience desirable.
Commitment to professional development and scholarly work.
