Business Development Representative
to join our dynamic team at The Social Content Company. This is primarily a sales role (70% sales, 30% client success) focused on driving new business growth through door-to-door prospecting, virtual sales, and maintaining strong client relationships to maximize retention and upselling opportunities. Schedule & Hours

Contract (not W-2) ; 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday / 9:00am-5:00pm CST Compensation & Incentives
STARTING SALARY RANGE:
$20.00 per hour + commission (Commensurate with experience) BONUSES & INCENTIVES: New Client Acquisitions : 5% commission on initial deposit of contract value Residual Income : 2.5% ongoing commission on retained client monthly revenue With base pay plus commission structure, top performers can earn $35-50K+ annually in this part-time role through a combination of new business acquisition and residual income from client retention. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Sales Functions (70% of role)
Lead Generation & Prospecting Conduct door-to-door visits to local businesses and law firms
in the Houston metropolitan area Identify and research potential clients through social media, industry events, referrals, and cold outreach Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects Target established law firms and local businesses in the Houston market Sales Process Management Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and pain points Deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to prospect's specific business needs Conduct product demonstrations showcasing how our services solve client challenges Prepare and present customized proposals and pricing packages Negotiate contract terms and pricing with prospects Handle objections and address concerns throughout the sales process Revenue Generation Close deals and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets Identify new market segments and business opportunities Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in Dubsado Follow up on warm leads and nurture prospects through the sales cycle Secondary Client Success Functions (30% of role)
Client Onboarding & Retention Guide new clients through the onboarding process to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service delivery Monitor client satisfaction levels and proactively address any concerns Act as liaison between sales and account management teams during client handoff Revenue Expansion Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients Use performance data and monthly reports to demonstrate ROI and identify growth opportunities Collaborate with Sales Director to capitalize on expansion opportunities at optimal timing Assist with client retention strategies to reduce churn rate Feedback & Optimization Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on prospect and client insights Monitor client usage patterns and recommend improvements to enhance client experience Qualifications
Required: 2+ years of proven B2B sales experience
with demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets Comfortable with in-person prospecting and door-to-door sales Strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management (Dubsado experience preferred) Ability to multitask and manage multiple prospects/clients simultaneously Comfortable with virtual calls and meetings (Google Meet, Zoom) Self-motivated with strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field Experience selling marketing services or working with digital agencies Knowledge of social media marketing or digital advertising Familiarity with sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, Solution Selling) Previous experience selling to law firms or professional services Account management or client success experience You're a great fit if you: Love the thrill of closing deals and exceeding sales targets Comfortable approaching businesses without appointments Enjoy building relationships that lead to long-term business partnerships Are comfortable with a consultative sales approach Can balance hunting for new business while nurturing existing client relationships Thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Seniority level
