GSMC is a 333-bed acute care hospital offering orthopedics, women’s health, general surgery, emergency services, urology, bariatric and cardiac services, and comprehensive cancer care. The cancer center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Additional specialties include: Comprehensive Head and Neck Microvascular Surgery, Bariatric and Metabolic Institute, Cancer Care of Palm Beach, Urological Institute of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Center for Orthopedics and Spine Care, The Norma E. & Miles M. Zisson Comprehensive Breast Center of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Center for Women’s Care.
Position Summary
The Hospital Chief Human Resources Officer serves as strategic advisor to the hospital and group leadership team, providing high-quality consultancy on a diverse set of HR issues; leads escalation and resolution of employee relations matters; acts as liaison to attract, develop and retain key talent; ensures HR processes, systems, policies and programs are implemented and governed; partners with HR service delivery to support talent management, total rewards, talent acquisition, learning, employee relations, organization design and restructuring.

Candidate Experience, Attributes And Education Requirements
At least 10 years’ experience in providing Human Resources services, solutions and leadership across varied roles and scales. Partnering with business leaders to design and implement HR strategies. Ability to manage and develop senior HR functional and leadership capability. Experience in organizational design, restructuring and strategic workforce planning. Leadership of complex organizational change and culture improvement initiatives. Extensive generalist HR expertise across talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, development and succession planning. Multi-industry or multi-unit experience preferred.
Professional And Personal Knowledge, Skills And Ability Requirements
Ability to influence senior leaders and align HR with business goals. Strong analytical skills using data to drive HR decisions. Strategic HR business partnering across enterprise and business units. Change management leadership; capability to drive organizational development and engagement. Talent development, retention strategies and budgeting competencies. Strong communication and leadership presence; ability to mentor HR staff and leaders.
Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field required. Master’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
Compensation
Base salary plus performance bonus and comprehensive benefits package, including relocation assistance.
Travel
Limited travel. Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Functional Expectations & Requirements
Consult with business leaders on capability gaps, talent needs, compensation, organization effectiveness and employee development. Partner with hospital operations leaders to identify and implement HR solutions; meet SLA and KPI targets. Engage with external HR groups to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. Collaborate with other HR leaders to evolve the HR service delivery model.
Essential Functions Of The Role
Act as primary HR contact for the business; participate in strategic planning and budgeting discussions. Lead labor and productivity initiatives to improve cost efficiency. Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and development; manage performance and succession planning. Develop and coach HR staff; drive data-driven HR solutions; oversee service delivery against SLAs. Champion culture change aligned with business strategy and leverage external insights to inform practices. Oversee HR work intake, contracting processes, and integration across enterprise levels. Other duties as assigned.

Use astute judgment; collaborate with corporate and regional teams to share best practices. Influence leaders as a trusted HR advisor; support engagement and recognition efforts. Communicate HR decisions across the organization and defend positions with data. Lead and develop loyalty, trust and commitment within the organization. Demonstrate critical thinking and business acumen in prioritizing resources.
Develop Organizational Talent
Lead workforce planning and development of long-term strategic workforce plans; focus on diversity/inclusion. Oversee talent management including recruitment, retention and succession planning. Oversee onboarding, orientation and assimilation; ensure timely performance reviews and development plans. Coach and mentor HR staff and leaders.
Aligns the Organization
Ensure business plans align with the HR workforce plan. Defend and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising engagement or recruitment. Coordinate with corporate to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
Optimize Execution
Administer policies and regulatory requirements; ensure changes are understood and acted on. Lead HR aspects of acquisitions/divestitures and staffing changes; timely investigations and reporting. Collaborate on compensation and benefits policy implementation and audits.
Drive Organizational Success
Drive employee engagement initiatives and action plans; improve HR program delivery and efficiency. Explain HR policy and changes clearly; partner with cross-functional teams on programs. Lead People Pillar initiatives and retention strategies.
