Executive Director

in the

Raleigh/Durham, NC market . This position will work with high-level corporate executives in the territory, corporate partners, and board members while supervising a team of development staff, community health staff and a communications director. The Association offers resources to help you maintain work-life harmonization, including access to Heart U, our award-winning corporate university, as well as additional training and support locally. Supervising, developing, and mentoring fundraising implementers to achieve a market revenue goal of $1M+; creating revenue pipelines and recruiting key leadership volunteers for core events. Developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating strategies and plans to achieve health impact goals. Developing and supporting community-wide strategies for a culture of health in the market. Serving as the staff lead for the Board of Directors and committees to impact mission engagement, revenue goals, and leadership recruitment for campaigns. Developing and implementing a business plan of market growth through strategic market partnerships, key fundraising campaigns, and individual donors. In this role, you will report to the Senior Vice President. Daily travel within the market is required. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in corporate sales and/or relevant non-profit fundraising, executive volunteer management. 5+ years of managerial experience, preferably with fundraising staff or a sales team. Experience working with community/public health issues preferred. Ability to build powerful partnerships with corporate leaders and senior-level volunteers. Strong leadership skills to coach and mentor best practices, timelines, and volunteer engagement to ensure revenue targets are reached. Track and record sales/fundraising goals and ensure staff meet/exceed weekly and quarterly goals. Knowledge to identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with top-level volunteers and partners. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and social skills. Ability to understand and navigate corporate cultures to achieve bold goals. Willingness to work outside standard hours as needed, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Ability and willingness to travel within your territory daily and occasional travel to other locations for meetings or training. Compensation & Benefits
