Children's Mercy The Weight Management Clinic is within the Center for Children’s Healthy Lifestyles and Nutrition, and addresses childhood obesity prevention and treatment through a multidisciplinary approach for children, teens and young adults ages 2-21 years. Effective weight management involves caring for the whole person. In Weight Management, patients receive care from a dedicated team of experts who are passionate about helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle. Our team includes pediatricians, nurses and nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, exercise physiologists, pediatric psychologists, education coordinators and social workers. We partner with families, children, and teens to create actionable plans to help them achieve and maintain a healthier weight. The nurses in Weight Management staff both the clinic and phone nursing roles, including patient and family education, medication administration, DME/Prior Authorization management and managing forms and Patient Portal communication. LPNs provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. Participates in the development and review of care management plans and in patient/family education. Provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care. Participates in patient/family education activities. Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent and Completion of licensed practical nursing program One of the following: Licensed Practical Nurse MO, LPN Multistate License, required upon hire One of the following: Licensed Practical Nurse KS, LPN Multistate License Kansas, required upon hire Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provide Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire Specialty Nursing Certification encouraged for all eligible nurses Required Upon Hire Benefits At Children’s Mercy

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $22.13/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work
