Overview Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is now hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Administrative Services Division.

Responsibilities

Supervise 3 Financial Analysts who manage budgets for Capital Project Services, Engineering, Traffic and Survey, and Operations and Maintenance divisions of LUT.

Share responsibility for budget development and monitoring, and department financial support to include: development of the fee schedule, department cost plan development, cash flow analysis on special and capital funds, state financial reporting, and annual asset reporting.

Interpret budget requirements, following state budget laws and County budget compliance requirements, reviewing historical data, and predicting future trends related to financial forecasting.

Collaborate across teams with strong communication to support department financial needs.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:

A Master\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principal duties of this position classification; OR

A Bachelor\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principal duties of this position classification; OR

An Associate\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principal duties of this position classification; OR

Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, of which at least four (4) years of this experience must be in the public sector and includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principal duties of this position classification.

Post-Offer Check: The final candidate will require to successfully clear a third-party background check as a pre-employment condition. If offered for a bilingual position, additional oral and written bilingual proficiency tests are required.

Start Date: A start date will be determined after all pre-employment condition(s) have been met.
