This innovation has unlocked new growth for Equitybee, with multiple VMFs already launched and more on the way. To support this momentum, we’re hiring a Fund Manager Lead to join our Operations team and build the foundation for scaling our fund operations. About the role: This role is part of EquityBee’s operations department and EquityBee Fund Management (“EBFM”) which is first and foremost a scale enabler that requires a service mentality and mindset. Come with in depth knowledge of all requirements needed for creating and managing SPVs Own and drive the SPV production processes, including but not limited to custodial and cash management oversight, and procedure implementation Requires a healthy mix of subject matter expertise within the fund admin space in addition to a generalist/entrepreneurial mindset - a “Mary Poppins” of fund administration Collaborate with team leads to identify business needs and develop recommendations that enable scalability while driving strategic and operational objectives Identify and implement applicable third-party software solutions, and work closely with our Product team to implement platform enhancements that accommodate EBFM’s needs Manage tight timelines for fund closing while providing top-notch client service Drive continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and strengthen the organization’s internal capacity Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to build lasting relationships with various internal and external stakeholders Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols that ensure the highest level of service Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements Ability to transition quickly and execute in a dynamic and fast paced start-up environment Strategic support and problems you will solve: Review and provide feedback on Operating Agreements with new partners, identifying and escalating any un-deliverables or terms that cannot be met Scaling fund operations efficiently while more funds are onboarded. Ad-Hoc reporting to provide visibility to all stakeholders. Custodial & Brokerage account opening. Full exposure to KYC/AML and Beneficial Ownership Processes . Capital calls and distributions Manage the process for drafting, approving, and communicating investor notices Preparation of the funds annual financial statements and tax returns Lead and coordinate fund audits with external auditors, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the process A cross-functional role that extends beyond traditional fund administration responsibilities Regulatory and Compliance - Facilitate SEC Form D and Blue Sky filings Middle Office – The Fund Administration team works in close partnership with the Deal Diligence team and other middle office functions, maintaining a highly collaborative relationship Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or similar certification a plus 5+ years of fund accounting experience 3+ years in operations or team management experience Proven experience with SPVs, preparing and distributing financial statements, member capital account statements, capital calls, and distributions Experience interpreting Fund Operating Agreements and applying the accounting implications of those terms Deep understanding of treasury operations, fund legal structures, and regulatory requirements within fund administration Working knowledge of general tax requirements applicable to SPVs and related fund entities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues Demonstrated interest in capital markets, asset management, and both traditional and alternative asset classes Highly self-motivated and collaborative, with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment We believe great work starts with taking care of our people.
