Fund Accounting Manager
Our client, a well-established middle market private equity firm, is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with their fund administrator and internal teams to support fund reporting and investor communications.
Location:
Palo Alto, CA. This position is hybrid, with in-office expectations Wednesday through Friday. Job Description:
This role will be responsible for the Fund reporting function in the Finance department, and will manage the all day-to-day review and maintenance of accounting records for the investment funds (including affiliated funds and non-fee paying funds) financial reporting, implementation of process, procedures and controls for the fund close process, and assist with other ad hoc projects and tasks. This position reports to the VP of Finance Responsibilities: Oversee fund reporting, including financial statements, capital account statements, and compliance filings. Review trial balances, reconciliations, and capital call/distribution allocations. Coordinate with external fund administrator and internal teams on fund-related workstreams. Support audits, tax preparation, and investor inquiries, while implementing process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. 4–6 years of experience in VC/PE fund accounting and public accounting audit. Strong understanding of partnership accounting and financial statement preparation. Excellent Excel skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
