Job Summary Manages the operational and student engagement activities associated with Bacardi Center of Excellence, the Guilds/student program initiatives, beverage related projects, community outreach, student program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Demonstrates broad decision making authority, judgment, and independence, and originates new concepts or approaches.
Responsibilities
Manage the operational, student engagement, and financial activities associated with the Bacardi Center of Excellence.
Manage the development, scheduling, and implementation of new and ongoing academic/student programs within the Bacardi Center of Excellence.
Oversee the implementation, creation, growth, university administration, and future strategies for the Clubs and Organizations.
Spearhead and manage all activations and student teams/Guilds on behalf of the Bacardi Center of Excellence.
Oversee and facilitate specific activities/tasks/assignments for the Bacardi Center of Excellence in collaboration with corresponding interns and hospitality graduate assistants.
Supervise the development of digital assets for social media platforms tied to the Bacardi Center of Excellence, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and web interfaces, in accordance with university standards.
Coordinate all logistical matters related to each activation in collaboration with program interns and Guild Executive board members including planning, initiation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitor status of projects. Analyze program data, develop reports and oversee activities.
Assist in the coordination/preparation of strategic plans in support of the Bacardi Center of Excellence.
Serve as liaison between program participants and the university community. Evaluate program/services. Analyze data for quality improvement initiatives.
Train, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of others and be highly accountable for the work of the program, as required.
Assist the Director with the overall development and implementation of academic programs, industry related installations, beverage related projects, and internal and external marketing.
Assist with revenue-producing projects, such as Hospitality Executive Education, The Beverage Academy @ FIU, Coffee Academy, and Beverage Experience (BX) Programs, among other special projects.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
Supervisory experience.
At least two (2) years of beverage-related experience.
Experience presenting to small and/or large groups.
