Exempt | Reports To : Finance Manager Our Mission At A&S Managment Inc , we are dedicated to supporting families and individuals with developmental disabilities by providing compassionate respite care that fosters independence, dignity, and an improved quality of life. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and ensure compliance region centers in California. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support leadership with accurate financial insights that drive organizational growth and sustainability. Responsibilities
Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses. Monitor and reconcile accounts, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Ensure compliance with regional centers regulations, grant requirements, and industry-specific financial guidelines. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making. Oversee billing and reimbursement processes related to respite care services. Provide financial insights to leadership on program costs, funding utilization, and organizational sustainability. Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to building a strong finance team. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, social services, or non-profit settings. Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. Experience with healthcare billing, Medicaid / Medicare reimbursement, or grants management is highly desirable. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. What We Offer
