Senior Accountant – General Ledger (Temporary, 3 months)
The client, a Brooklyn based $50M Social Services organization, is seeking a temporary Senior/General Ledger Accountant for a 3 month assignment to help finish out their audit and lead an array of ERP and GL projects. This individual will work closely with both the Controller and CFO. Base pay range:
$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr Responsibilities
Prepare detailed supporting schedules for key general ledger accounts to substantiate balances and facilitate audit readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, and Payroll) to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled each month-end. Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and variance analyses. Maintain standardized reconciliation templates and processes to improve efficiency and consistency in financial reporting. Support external and internal audit requests by providing timely documentation and clear account analyses. Qualifications
BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; higher education or CPA a huge plus. 4+ years of general ledger accounting experience within a large social services environment. 4+ years of month-end close, audit lead, and financial reporting experience. Experience with Netsuite, Sage Intacct, or other large ERP system (not QuickBooks). Seniority Level
