The company has recently completed construction of a modern high-volume production facility and is now scaling operations to full capacity. The Role You Will Play As the
Environmental, Health, Safety & Energy (EHS&E) Manager , you’ll establish, implement, and continuously improve all environmental, safety, and energy programs for a rapidly scaling aerospace manufacturing site. You’ll partner closely with operations leadership to ensure compliance, embed a proactive safety culture, and drive continuous improvement in environmental stewardship and energy efficiency.
This is a pivotal, visible role for a credentialed safety professional ready to build systems from the ground up and shape the culture of a high-tech production facility.
Key Responsibilities Environmental Management Lead all environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste, air permitting, stormwater, and recycling. Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and interaction with federal, state, and local agencies. Launch sustainability and waste-reduction initiatives to minimize the environmental footprint.
Health & Safety Leadership Design and execute safety management systems consistent with OSHA, ISO 45001, and aerospace best practices. Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations for new and existing processes. Lead incident investigations and corrective action programs to ensure continuous improvement. Develop and deliver employee training programs (Lockout/Tagout, PPE, Confined Space, Emergency Response, etc.). Champion a “Safety-First” culture throughout the facility.
Energy Management Build an energy management framework aligned with ISO 50001 principles. Monitor utility usage and implement energy-efficiency improvements in partnership with Facilities and Operations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement Define and track EHS&E performance metrics and report to senior leadership. Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, inspections, and agency communications. Build scalable systems to support rapid production growth.
Background Profile Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline. 7+ years of EHS or EHS&E experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or heavy industrial environments. Demonstrated success building safety and environmental programs from the ground up. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Georgia state environmental regulations. Hands-on, data-driven approach to continuous improvement. Professional certifications highly preferred:
CSP, CIH, or CHMM .
