Chief Engineer
The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa / Short Pump is seeking a Chief Engineer. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with maintenance and engineering experience to advance their management career within a growing company.

Position Overview:
As Chief Engineer, you will oversee maintenance and engineering operations, manage the maintenance team, implement preventative maintenance programs, and ensure the safe operation of mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
Lead the maintenance team to ensure effective operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and execute maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime. Equipment Oversight:
Manage repairs and maintenance of boilers, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring safety and performance standards. Budgeting:
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and building codes, maintaining documentation. Emergency Procedures:
Create protocols for handling emergencies, minimizing operational disruptions. Vendor Relations:
Coordinate with external service providers, oversee projects, and ensure quality work. Leadership:

Qualifications: Proven experience in senior maintenance or engineering roles, preferably in hospitality or facilities management, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and managing a team. Technical knowledge of building systems, troubleshooting, and resolution skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize operations. Attention to detail in maintenance and documentation. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
