Senior Accountant As Astranis’s Senior Accountant, you will be a core member of our accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of our financial operations. As a key contributor to general ledger (GL) operations, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, developing monthly expense accruals in collaboration with business partners, reviewing contracts, reconciling accounts, and ensuring transactions are accurately reported in our financial systems. We are seeking to hire the best — someone who is hands‑on, detail‑obsessed, and excited to improve processes in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.

You are an ideal candidate if you can seamlessly shift between executing day‑to‑day accounting tasks, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving improvements to processes that will scale with the company. Core Responsibilities

Own core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.

Ensure the accuracy of financial results in compliance with GAAP.

Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide clear, timely financial reporting.

Present monthly and quarterly results to the Finance leadership team.

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close and reporting cycles.

Assist in preparing for audits and work directly with auditors.

Contribute to system enhancements, internal controls, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

Solid knowledge of GAAP and experience applying it in practice.

Track record of executing month‑end close and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex analyses).

Detail‑oriented and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Bonus

CPA certification or CPA‑track.

Public accounting experience.

Experience in a high‑growth, venture‑backed company.

Experience with consolidations, multiple entity structures, complex business models, preparing accruals, and/or managing prepaids and fixed asset sub‑ledgers.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional‑grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

$120,000 - $160,000 USD
