Job Details: The Accounting Manager plays a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing policy implementation, supporting audits, and providing technical guidance to the accounting team. This individual will lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee multiple areas of the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering alignment and operational excellence.
Partner with leadership to implement process improvements, strengthen workflows, and enhance internal controls.
Provide technical accounting support, including research on applicable regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements, manage ASC 842 lease accounting, and perform consolidations.
Lead the annual audit process and coordinate audit deliverables.
Contribute to special projects, system implementations, and analytical initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA, CMA, or CGMA designation required.
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally spanning public and private sectors.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP; ERP system conversion experience preferred.
Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Skills:
Ability to multi-task and critically review work.
Solid understanding of advanced accounting principles and financial management tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems.
