Our client in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is growing and looking for an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations across several business units. Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of general accounting, including AR/AP, general ledger management, and month-end close.
• Manage job costing, contracts, and lien/NTO compliance to ensure accuracy across projects.
• Prepare and review detailed financial statements and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
• Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting workflows.
• Partner closely with operations and senior leadership to provide clear financial insights and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus!)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience—construction or HVAC industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Vista (Viewpoint), Sage, or SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and a keen analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
