We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Supervisor – Maintenance & Piping Systems to lead the mechanical installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of complex industrial piping systems. This role requires hands-on leadership, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and performance in demanding, multi-disciplinary project environments. The ideal candidate will be expected to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, as well as read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Insurance that is affordable 10 paid holidays; 6 personal days 401k with an Employer match A fun, fast-paced culture with company events and professional growth opportunities JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a team of mechanics, pipefitters, and mechanical technicians, providing clear direction, coaching, and support across all project phases Independently manage mechanical completion and (pre-)commissioning activities on-site Supervise installation, flushing, cleaning, and pressure testing of piping systems, including 12" pipelines and high-pressure systems up to 10 bar Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and related electrical systems Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and allocate resources to ensure project timelines and labor budgets are met or exceeded Coordinate closely with project managers, plant managers, engineers, and OEMs to understand scope, resolve technical issues, and align on goals Interpret and execute work based on P&IDs, technical drawings, pressure test packages, and specifications Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with standards (API, SMS, NAS 3–5) and design intent Monitor flow rates, hydraulic parameters, torque specs, and cleanliness levels per project requirements Maintain accurate documentation including work logs, material tracking, change records, and as-built reports Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, codes, and company policies to minimize risks and incidents Serve as the interface between construction, service, and maintenance teams, aligning documentation and training activities Identify and resolve on-site problems such as delays, missing components, or improper assembly Support final handover processes including torque control, metric/imperial standard alignment, and documentation closure Contribute to the development of a results-oriented, high-performance work culture with a strong hands-on mentality REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 7 years of experience as a mechanic or mechanical supervisor in industrial or construction settings. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role managing installation or commissioning teams on industrial sites (energy, oil & gas, utilities, or heavy industry preferred). Strong technical understanding of hydraulics, pressure systems, flow technology, torque specs, and commissioning practices. Proven ability to lead multi-skilled teams and collaborate across departments and with international OEM partners. Skilled in reading and interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and pressure test documentation. Familiarity with key standards and guidelines (API, SMS, NAS 3–5, German industrial norms). Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, and global project teams. Strong organizational abilities and resilience under pressure; able to adapt quickly to project changes and tight schedules. High attention to detail, personal accountability, and ability to work independently without close supervision. Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused with a professional and respectful demeanor. Willingness to travel 100%, including to remote or isolated job sites. Training as a mechanic, foreman, or certified master craftsman (e.g., German Werkstattmeister). Individual state contractor’s license (where applicable). Experience with German and international industrial standards and workflows. Additional language skills:
