Overview Hardware Development Manager, AWS Hardware Engineering, AWS Hardware Components. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of hardware engineers, software engineers, system engineers, technical program managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing high capacity at the lowest possible cost. Responsibilities AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a leader to drive a team to deliver best in class hardware designs from inception through manufacturing, implementation, maturation, and deprecation. You will: Ensure all core hardware components meet or exceed a high quality bar, maintaining a healthy fleet of EC2 servers. Organize and lead a team of hardware development engineers to partner with silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to meet the roadmap. Define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership. Enable AWS to launch next generation server designs. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year to $283,200/year, depending on location and experience.
