Litigation Attorney - Personal Injury

Job Overview: A law firm located in Glendale, CA, is actively seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to support its expanding personal injury practice. This role is tailored for a driven legal professional with a minimum of three years' experience handling personal injury matters from initiation through resolution. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of litigation procedures, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to case strategy and trial readiness. Duties: Oversee a portfolio of personal injury cases, managing each from filing to final resolution Draft, review, and argue motions, including those related to discovery and summary judgment Conduct depositions and manage written discovery processes Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement discussions Communicate frequently and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and insurers Contribute to trial preparation by organizing evidence, formulating case theories, and supporting litigation strategy Negotiate settlements and engage in pre-trial negotiations Requirements: Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California At least 3 years of hands-on experience in personal injury litigation Solid knowledge of California procedural and evidentiary rules Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive legal documents and argue motions effectively Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to client advocacy Proficiency in using litigation technology and legal software Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications: Active California Bar Membership (in good standing) Skills: Strategic thinking and litigation planning Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication Case organization and document management Negotiation and mediation techniques Courtroom confidence and professional demeanor Technology-savvy with case management systems Job Location: Glendale, CA In-person role; occasional weekend availability may be required Health and vision insurance coverage Paid time off and recognized holidays Bonus incentives tied to performance outcomes Collaborative and team-centered office environment Growth potential within a litigation-focused practice
