Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist

to support the full employee life cycle at NLEN—including recruitment and retention, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS management, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Responsibilities include: Assists the HR Manager in managing the full-cycle recruitment process, including creating and posting job listings, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and working closely with hiring managers throughout the selection process. Initiate sand manages pre-employment processes such as reference checks, background screenings, and preparation of new hire paperwork. Drafts and distribute offer letters and ensures new hire documentation is completed accurately and timely. Facilitates new hire orientation sessions and supports benefits enrollment for incoming staff. Maintains accurate, organized, and compliant employee personnel files; manage and update employee records in the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) to support payroll, reporting, and internal audits. Supports the HR Manager with the annual open enrollment and performance evaluation processes. Coordinates and tracks employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, final documentation, and system access termination. Generates HR reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions and compliance efforts. Responds to general HR inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed, while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. Assists with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and DEI efforts across the organization. Maintains knowledge of current HR trends, employment laws, and best practices to support continuous improvement and compliance. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources. Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS (preferred). Demonstrated understanding of core HR functions, employment law, and HR best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
