Overview Join to apply for the HR Specialist role at Soni . We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to support a wide range of human resources functions on a contract basis. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing both day-to-day HR operations and longer-term initiatives.
Responsibilities Prepare employee addendums and maintain accurate records
Oversee payroll and HRIS tasks using Paylocity, including PTO tracking and invoice reconciliation for overseas employees
Manage benefit-related billing and vendor communication (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aflac, Mutual of Omaha, Cigna) through Bswift
Administer and track FMLA, workers’ comp, and 401(k) plans (Empower system)
Coordinate recruiting and onboarding, including background checks, drug screens, I-9 verification, and new hire orientation
Support open enrollment, employee events, and monthly compliance checks (AED, benefits, etc.)
Handle verifications of employment and employee communication, including with international staff
Qualifications Previous HR experience required
Hands-on knowledge of FMLA administration (must-have)
Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity and Bswift strongly preferred)
Experience managing benefits, 401(k) plans, and vendor relationships
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with employees across locations
Recruiting and onboarding experience, including compliance with I-9 and related regulations
Compensation Compensation: $32/Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
