Join to apply for the HR Specialist role at Soni. We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to support a wide range of human resources functions on a contract basis. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing both day-to-day HR operations and longer-term initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare employee addendums and maintain accurate records
- Oversee payroll and HRIS tasks using Paylocity, including PTO tracking and invoice reconciliation for overseas employees
- Manage benefit-related billing and vendor communication (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aflac, Mutual of Omaha, Cigna) through Bswift
- Administer and track FMLA, workers’ comp, and 401(k) plans (Empower system)
- Coordinate recruiting and onboarding, including background checks, drug screens, I-9 verification, and new hire orientation
- Support open enrollment, employee events, and monthly compliance checks (AED, benefits, etc.)
- Handle verifications of employment and employee communication, including with international staff
Qualifications
- Previous HR experience required
- Hands-on knowledge of FMLA administration (must-have)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity and Bswift strongly preferred)
- Experience managing benefits, 401(k) plans, and vendor relationships
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with employees across locations
- Recruiting and onboarding experience, including compliance with I-9 and related regulations
Compensation
Compensation: $32/Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
