Overview
A privately held, fast-paced company is seeking a dependable and adaptable Accounting Assistant to join its close-knit finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of hands-on accounting experience who thrives in a high-energy, no-nonsense environment. Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
- Prepare, review, and manage billing and invoicing cycles
- Reconcile accounts and assist with basic financial reporting
- Utilize Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting
- Provide administrative and accounting support as needed
- Cross-train in multiple areas to ensure departmental coverage and continuity
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience; small business or family-owned company background preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a demanding environment—thick skin is essential
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to handle changing priorities
